How to connect Open Płytarium

Chat applications

Paste the address. Sign in. Allow.

ChatGPT, Claude and Grok open Płytarium in the browser. You pick permissions and press Allow. You never paste a token — and you do not need a Client ID.

Leave Client ID empty. Płytarium finishes OAuth on its own.

Use the web app, not the mobile app. Developer mode unlocks custom MCP connectors.

If Płytarium is in the ChatGPT catalog, open that listing, connect and allow — no URL to paste.

Open ChatGPT in the browser.
Profile menu → Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings → turn on Developer mode.
Create a connector. Name it Płytarium.
MCP Server URL: paste the address from the top of this page. Authentication: OAuth. Leave Client ID empty.
ChatGPT opens Płytarium. Sign in, choose permissions and press Allow.
In a chat, enable the Płytarium connector and ask about albums.

A custom connector on Pro or Max. Claude opens consent in the browser.

If Płytarium is in the Claude catalog, open that listing, connect and allow.

Open Claude on the web (Pro or Max).
Customize → Connectors → + → Add custom connector.
Name: Płytarium. Remote MCP server URL: paste the address from the top of this page.
Leave Advanced settings / Client ID empty.
Claude opens Płytarium. Sign in and press Allow.
Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web.

Grok

Add a custom MCP server as a connector. Grok discovers the tools itself.

If Płytarium is in the Grok catalog, pick it there. The custom path below always works.

Open grok.com/connectors, or Settings → Connectors.
New Connector (or + Add Connector) → Other (some screens say Custom).
Paste the MCP address from the top of this page and name it Płytarium.
Finish sign-in and Allow when Płytarium opens in the browser.
Grok Business / Enterprise: a team admin adds it first at console.x.ai → Grok Business → Connectors → Other.

These clients need a personal API token (inv_…). We send the token in the Authorization header, never in the URL. The raw secret is shown once.

stdio is a working local fallback on the same machine as the client — no TCP port, no TLS. HTTP is the recommended path.

What you can ask

Search, add, rate — from the conversation

Tools are filtered by the token scopes or the OAuth grant. The ai scope is only for recognising sleeves from a photo; chat clients already have vision, so they usually need read and write.

Access

Scopes: read, write, AI

Chat apps ask for consent in the browser. CLI uses a token from Settings → Integrations. Every tool runs only on your household collection — a foreign record comes back as “not found”, never as 403.

Read — collections, albums, search, stats, genres, wishlist
Write — add and edit albums, ratings, covers, bulk save, shelf
AI — recognise releases from a shelf or cover photo

Chat: OAuth, no token to paste. CLI: an inv_ token in the Authorization header.
